Welcome to Red Oak Roots in Kansas City, where I create handcrafted wood art and pyrography inspired by family legacy. As a nurse, wife, and mother, I discovered this passion through my grandfather—my greatest mentor and muse. Every piece I make honors his memory and the values he instilled in me.

Red Oak Roots is rooted in my family's journey. We emigrated from Wales in the 1800s to Red Oak, Iowa, where my grandfather was born, then settled in Kansas City, where he raised his family and worked as a proud member of Local 10 Ironworkers. Red Oak, a wood I adore working with, felt like the perfect name for this deeply personal venture.

Based right here in Kansas City, I'm passionate about bringing your creative visions to life—whether you arrive with a fully formed idea or just a spark. You'll find my work at local markets and events throughout the year, and I share the creative process, recent pieces, and studio moments on social media. Let's collaborate and craft something meaningful together.
